Lordmandeep
What would you say was 2012's? Loki getting thrashed by Hulk? It may not be everyone's choice here but it likely wins easily for the General audience. There was no comparable scene this year.

MS103127
Bilbo-Smaug scene in The Hobbit (Despite me not being a fan of the movie, that one scene was movie stealing and phenomenally well done, to bad the rest of the movie was just popcorn action and garbage) Maybe you might want to review the Gandalf at Dol Guldurr/vs. Sauron scenes, which are outstanding by the way, or maybe your overall opinion of the film is just attention seeking "garbage".... Jessie
I didn't like Pacific Rim that much but it does deserve to be in this list.Pacific Rim - Hong KongWWZ - Israel sequence (yeah I said it)Gravity - there is a fewEnd of Captain PhillipsRush - James Hunt beating up reporter. This is the End - Franco/Mcbride argument.Elysium - Damon walking aboard Copleys ship, Shartlo was awesome in this scene.MOS city destruction - yeah sure there was too much, but the first half of it was awesome with that drill. dashrendar44
This and the scene lingering on Solomon being hung on the rope in the "Strange Fruit" scene. Harrowingly powerful use of cinematography and framing as an allegory of slavery's course over the years encapsulated in time and space.
ChD
Prisoners driving scene. I was simply astonished by the cinematography/directing/acting in that scene.
