My interest in box office is swings and roundabouts. I wasnt really paying attention when Avengers was kicking ass either.

Not gonna lie, earlier this year I didn't care at all about IM3 doing well, and I honestly am shocked it's the second biggest OW ever. It sure doesn't feel like it.

Honestly, besides people like us, who really knew about it?  I know it got a lot of publicity, but over time, it fades.  He hasn't done a big studio movie since.  Let's see how Inherent Vice does.  I just think people have short memories.  In time no one will care what he did in the past. 

 

Inherent Vice is a PTA movie... pretty sure it'll have low commercial appeal
