Opposite in Melbourne, we've been pretty down on numbers with all the lovely mid to high 20's sunny days.. 

 

Didn't get a chance to look at the numbers, but we'll get the full week results tomorrow anyway.

TFA is just short of $75m and should make another $10m over the next week to briing it up to $85m.  I think it should be able to make another $15m from there and get over the $100m mark.

 

AUD100m down under and USD1,000m Domestic.

Star Wars average ticket price in Melbourne at least is significantly higher then Avatars due to the significantly larger share of premium tickets sold.

 

Avatar got an average ticket price of $15.4 circuit wide for us, while Star Wars on my circuit is currently at $18.8 ATP.

Village with Avatar had initially been over $16 but that would have come down in later weeks

not only a problem with the AUS results, China is down now repeatedly, KOBIZ just adjusted all SK results down, CAN has lost 40% within the last few years (and as Lordmansdeep (sp.) pointed out, that causes North America / dom to be ~ 3-4% deeper than it could be), Russia isnt even 1/2 of what is was, Euro & Japan down too, I think at least some of the South American currencies also....

One of the reasons I do not really care about ww positions, too many things play into those to be really compareable.

if they get that close i'm hoping the studio gives it a nudge over the 100m to be 2nd film here to reach that... though i doubt they will care in reality... and i'm thinking your right also... 

 

i have it passing 90m ok.. but 100m is very much a question at the moment. (like how 1B is in the US - almost a perfect 10 to 1 ratio for this one .... )

I think it's dropping too much too soon to be on track for $100m. 

$95m will probably be the new target at this point!
