That's 25.8% of the OW. Way too low comparing Twilight (23.7M / 34% of the OW). It's almost on the same page as The Hunger Games (24.5% of the OW), but THG had a massive OW, so that was logical. Very disappointing...

Ando918
I don't get the Twilight comparisons now when looking at Divergent's potential multiplier. Divergent is doing decently with males and people over 25, and has decent reviews from audiences. Let's look at other action movies with male leads in March that might be a better comparison. mcclaine
Still, % wise is below last year's The Host (35.8%), GI Joe 2 (28.4%) and Oz.(29.9%) It is doing ok, but i thought it would be doing better this week.
Ando918
I think Divergent will surprise and do 26 million this weekend. Noah gets 33, Divergent gets 26. Edited March 28, 2014 by Ando918

I think Divergent is doing exactly what it's supposed to do this week. There's nothing surprising about any of the four days.
baumer
6.95 9.2 5.7 22-24 mill looks doable. Anything more than that would be very surprising.

TLK
I'm surprised there's no Friday numbers yet. Guru tweeted mid-30s to high-30s for Noah based on very early trends but that was a couple of hours ago so it was extremely early.

spizzer
I'm surprised there's no Friday numbers yet. Definitely. 7:30PM on the East Coast? We typically get some BS estimates by 2-3.

Ando918
Something that is somewhat impressive is that as of now Divergent is still at 17% on Movietickets.com - Hollywood executives still ignore the female audience too much. Look at the main characters in the theaters now - Noah, Kermit and Walter, Mr. Peabody, Liam Neeson, Need for Speed, Lego Movie, Sabotage, etc. and look at how many of them are males. Then add Captain America and Draft Day to the mix, too. Edited March 29, 2014 by Ando918
