Weekend #s April 4-6 (Cap2: 96.2, Noah 17, Divergent 13)

Recommended Posts

It was a good movie the action was top notch but it oversimplified the issues it was trying to cover to the point that its message had no meaning. In essence it was trying to be the dark knight and while it came closer than any other marvel movie it doesn't measure up. In the end I would give it a 7/10. There were also an enormity of plot holes that while not hurting my enjoyment of the film took me out of the movie

Mr. Peabody has done extremely well after the first weekend disappointed slightly. Unfortunately its legs will be cut off next week by Rio 2. I think a 40M+ OW is possible for Rio 2.

Damn, hope it close to 34, because 31 would kind of suck from a % bump stand point and take it to near 90 million ... and only like 4 million more than Thor 2.

I mean, still great ... and I predicted 92, but man ... was hoping for triple digits after those first #s on Friday morning.

Apparently Channing Tatums in a hotel 2 blocks over, Bill Murray is at a pasta restaurant a couple blocks away, and there was a JGL spotting last night. Love the celebs in Charleston but can we get some WOMEN. Jlaw come visit, we got a bubba gumps.

Maybe so, but some go above and beyond. If you have the resources, you're probably going to cheat your butt off. Kentucky and UCLA both have the resources.

Yeah, people don't realize how corrupt UCLA was during Wooden era. He's put on a pedestal which to me is a sham.

It didn't have to try to "be the dark knight". It had to try to be a well done Captain America/Steve Rogers movie. For me, it absolutely succeeded. The broader themes of freedom and preemptive strikes were used to define who Steve Rogers is and his importance to the twenty-first century, IMO. It didn't need to go any deeper than that in regards to the poltical issues to make it a great film experience.

I know there's a need to compare every CBM to TDK or The Avengers, but Marvel's doing something different, I think.

It didn't get that it was trying to be anything like TDK at all.
