Star Trek Into Darkness is one of the best not good but still good despite not being good movies ever.

We've seen a rough cut of Ridley Scott's sci-fi survival story, and it's pretty great. Look for comparisons to 2013 TIFF outer space sensation "Gravity" as well as raves for Matt Damon's lead turn as a stranded astronaut.

You'll probably have to pay a hefty sum. I think this is the first time in a while Toronto has screened an actually expected blockbuster. Even Gravity didn't have this kind of hype

Ridley Scott has been on a deliver one great movie per decade streak for his whole career.

He kinda screwed that up in the 2000s by giving us (imo)...three...but he hasn't given us one this decade. Will this be it?

Obviously may not get raves, but at this point I would be surprised if its a bad or average movie.  It would be very surprising if FOX sent a big movie like this to arguably the biggest film festival in the world like 20 days before it hits theaters without thinking it was good to great.

God I hope so....the book is good, the trailer looks solid, and I love watching space movies almost as much as Asian porn.
