Article has the chart saying most of the expenses not including film budget were $175M for prints and ads and $175M for participants which means paying Robbie, Gosling, Gerwig and another producer.

 

Barbie was a very expensive thing to market with a hugely expensive cast so it's lucky it became such a phenomenon.
