$188k for Thor 3.

The number for Thor 3 is from previews (not opening day) right? In which case it seems to have done really well compared to those other movies

Looking back, it seems that Dr. Strange did 32k in it's Wednesday previews. So pretty good.

I think there were a lot more showings for Thor though.

Did a few of quick and shitty comparisons:

If it follows Doctor Strange, it'll get up to ~1.8M

If it follows Wonder Woman, it'll get up to ~2M.

If it follows Spider-Man: Homecoming it'll get to ~1.57M

These would point to a US opening of $110M for the low end and 140M at the high. Subject to change depending on how the weekend goes with the added disclaimer that these I might have miscalculated something. There's also a healthy chance that this is overperforming here, so I guess we'll find out.

Seems to be off to a very nice start though!

Stumbled upon these just now. Top opening weekends for each year, going back to 2011, and all in local currency (unlike the BOM page). Unfortunately it only goes back to 2011 cause all their other BO releases have invalid download links, but it is what it is.

Equivalent to about 140M in the US according to my formula. It's probably overperforming here though.

This graph is fun. Really shows how dead the box office has been this month.

Great that it's doing well. Interesting to see how it holds this well, probably won't be a good as Taika's other films but WoM is strong (well, in my circle). I'm going to go see it again for sure! :)

All his other films have had ridiculous legs so I doubt it'll match them, but it's shaping up to be a great run regardless. Might be able to get 5m+.
