Yeah actually I am little surprised this thread didn't exist.  I guess the NZ contingent didn't migrate over to these forums after BOM died (I remember there was a thead on BOM back in the day that got updated regularly.)

New Zealand is a small country with 4 million inhabitants, I'm not surprised not to see people from there here.

We would need an all-time top, even though I'm pretty sure the leader is a LOTR movie :P

Anyone an idee why they don't have rereleased LOTR yet? I mean they could do like with all other movies. And maby they could show the extended edtion in the cinema. :(

No the leader is actually Avatar with $12.5m  ;)

Great thread!

I remember a few years ago we worked it out that to figure out the US equivalent in NZ gross, you multiply it by 60.  So The Other Woman opened to 425K, so that would be like 25 mill in the US for its opening weekend.

I just calculated it also and I came to 70 multiply, but I also counted Canada with it.

Oki, so now it's 70.  And yes, you have to add Canada to US gross because that's how the numbers are reported.
