The reports saying 100ft will be the biggest Kong yet are all wrong. The Toho King Kong from 1962 was 145ft tall.

I think the mofo is 100m tall, not ft. Americans and their metric system......................

Would make more sense honestly. Though, vogt Roberts did say FEET. We did see set photos of ape bones... And they look MUCH larger than what a 100ft ape would be.

I wonder if they'll just get Vogt-Roberts to direct Godzilla 2.

I don't know enough about the rights and right holders of Kong right now. But pretty much every Kong since 1933 is a knock off.

Nah. Even though 90% of people don't like Emmerich's Godzilla, it's still an official entry to the franchise. Same with King Kong. 1962s version is the biggest. RKO let Toho use the character.

An entry into the franchise, but the franchise doesn't acknowledge it as Godzilla.

DVD and Blu Rays are still being produced by Toho. Toho still recognizes it. Doesnt matter what the fans think. I hate that film with a passion, but if that version was 400ft tall, well he would be the biggest Godzilla.

Officially, according to Toho, he is Zilla. (Final Wars).

Yes, in Final Wars. But they still recognize two Hollywood adaptions of the character.

Anyway, the image below shows ape bones that would be much larger than a 100ft ape:

Actually, Zilla only refers to the Final Wars incarnation. The 1998 one is still trademarked as Godzilla, even until now. Weird naming conventions but that's how it goes, I guess. :P Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
