edroger3
New WW total 521,1M$. OS 301,8M$ (16M$ added this week). Other, it outpaces Beauty and the Beast in USA as the third highest grossing Disney animated ever behind The Lion King and Frozen (obviously non counting Pixar).

Fullbuster
I knew you were going to love it This is wat I said in the official thread (be careful, I spoiled a bit) : And now I FINALLY WATCHED IT!!!!!! OH...MY...GOD!! I really REALLY loved it! In my opinion it was the best WDAS movie since The Lion King. I loved Frozen guys but sorry to hurt the feelings of hardcore Frozen fans but BH6 is clearly BETTER! Technically Frozen was beautiful but pretty empty most of the time, just frozen plains and trees but BH6 created a perfect mix of US/Japanese cultures in a very lively and detailled city, and the characters are really realistic in some way, they act very naturally and you really can feel what they feel. It's pure ART And I liked the bad guy he was very powerful, of course it just stole Hiro's invention and he's pretty old but I liked him in that role, still more original than Krei as a bad guy (too obvious ^^). And all this sadness with Hiro losing his brother and then Baymax, in itself it's probably the saddest WDAS movie, but it's still epic and moving. I'll tell more in my review, now I give 10/10 or A+ Thank You Disney for this incredible moment. Baymax, I'm more than satisfied with your care Edited February 21, 2015 by Hiro Hamada
CelestialFairyIX
With BH6 opening this Saturday (2/28) in China, it's final major market, I think the chances of it passing $600 million are around the 60 - 75% range unless it performs very well: grossing about $50 million there which is still quite a feat for an animated film. Let's just all cross our fingers because this movie is such a brilliant film! YOU BETTER WIN THAT OSCAR!
Hernan Gonzalez
$326m OS!!! Very good week: $24m OS
Hernan Gonzalez
Deadline: "Big Hero 6 added $11M in the overseas frame, taking the international total to $326M and the global box office to $546.23M. While parents were tying one on with Fifty Shades Of Grey, UK kids were on holiday and embracing Big Hero 6. The Disney pic saw a 36% increase there this frame. After 24 days in release, the British cume is $24.8M. France dropped just 19% from its start last weekend, with a cume of $6.9M. In Japan,Big Hero 6 has almost completed its fantastic run, dropping just 29% to register a cume to date of $72.1M. Korea, where Big Hero 6 is the 2nd biggest Disney/Pixar animated release ever, saw a drop of only 9% and now has a total to date of $19.5M. The film has released in all international markets aside from China which bows on February 28 giving it a key slot as the first Hollywood movie in the Middle Kingdom after a flood of local New Year’s pics." China! I have faith in you!!
fastclock
Interesting tidbits from Ray Subers: Big Hero 6 has now earned $326 million overseas and $546 million worldwide. It expands in to China on Saturday; as its still doing strong business in a handful of major markets, it's only going to need around $35 million in China to get past $600 million worldwide. The Oscar win should help a bit in the remaining legs, although it is probably too late for the US market. It might be in time for the US DVD/Blu-ray new release this week.
