I think it's the 2nd biggest animated film ever, only behind Despicable Me 2. And wow it's even bigger in Malaysia. I wonder why is it so big in South East Asia? The Asian element? The superhero element?

fastclock
^^^ All numbers are estimate. Venezuela's number is pure speculation based on 5 weekends at No. 1, so it's not overly optimistic. The new Indonesian number is huge! BH6 is doing very well all over Asia, not just SE Asia, so the Asian element seems to be doing its job. Unfortunately, it did not explode on the bigger markets (>10m countries: Australia, Brazil, Spain, Italy), except Japan. Still, good numbers all around and bigger markets are to come, starting with SK this weekend.

And in Bolivia it is already 30% better than Frozen in admissions, so it should be over $1m right now
yjs
It generated some controversies about its pro-Japan stance and some rumored accusations that it's also pro-Japanese imperialism in Korea but those are being cleared up albeit leaving a handful of bitter audience who have lost interest in watching it because of its Japanese elements (Korea-Japan shit is real haha) Still, it is #1 on the pre-sales chart and would be finish the very tight race with the local film Gangnam Blues as #1. Not really sure about its total when it's all said and done yet. $45M prediction someone wrote earlier seems too farfetched, probably $15M-$20M is more realistic goal. hopefully $30M+. Hernan Gonzalez
In Peru BH6 passed Frozen too, I like this nascent market It looks like the tickets in Peru are more expensive this year or maybe the exchange rate is better, because Frozen sold 880k admissions and BH6 812k admissions (as of last Sunday) but I agree with fastclock that BH6 should be a little bit over $4m right now. In Argentina and Chile BH6 will end its run doing around 20% less than Frozen. In Venezuela it should do the same or even more than Frozen. Also in Colombia, at least in admissions. In Bolivia it will beat Frozen by at least 40%. The problem in Latin America are the biggest markets, Mexico and Brazil, where BH6 it not displaying its whole potential, it's a pity! And BH6 is doing pretty bad in Uruguay but this is a pretty small market.

Hernan Gonzalez
So a 600 M finish worldwide? I think that is more than locked. It still has to open in the biggest markets: China, South Korea, Germany, France and the UK. Even with a crappy euro it should easily reach $650m WW. I am thinking $700m+ WW is possible

CelestialFairyIX
Projecting around $650 - 700 million WW! This film, of course will do big business in its other markets unless the Blu-Ray and DVD release hurt its performance, which I highly hope it does not.
