According with Entgroup site Big Hero 6 opened with 13,81M$ and 2.163.395 admissions, which is less than Frozen's 14,1M$ opening.

BH6 did great in Asia - unfortunately, it was mediocre pretty much everywhere else.

If only BOM was still receiving weekend numbers from more than a fraction of markets. I don't even know how BH6 did in Germany and France, let alone any of Latin America (even Mexico stops at November 16, when they stopped getting data for the majority of countries). So I assume in EU/LA it was only so-so?

It seems that the only markets they consistently receive data from now are Australia, China, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. (Russia and Ukraine stop in January.)

Well, besides the superhero aspect or the story, one has to wonder whether the rest of the world outside of Asia were ready for an Asian-American protagonist.
