alll that goodwill and success westerns got with movies like true grit and django unchained has promptly been shat upon by movies like this and the lone ranger. hooray.

now we really need hateful eight to happen.

At least we have cowboys and aliens

It would have been a different movie. I think the fact that it would have taken place in the MCU would have helped because it would be tied into everything else that is going on in the MCU.

That would've made it infuriating.

I think if someone else starred in AMWTDI....ah..frick!

I think if someone else starred in A million ways to die in the west, it might have done better.

Seth McFarlane's cute but "douchey" appearance isn't leading man material IMHO.

Why?

X-Men has its own tying in to do and to put Marvel on top of that would just make it overwhelming and a turnoff. They have to cater to large audiences who don't care too much about that stuff and locking them out isn't a good idea.

Seth MacFarlane might work better not being an actor

Well so long as he's directing movies, he has the right to put himself in there.

Might as well be a supporting bit.

Do y'all think that if DOFP was made by Marvel Studios, it would have grossed more?

No, people would be whining about how unrealistic and unbelievable it is that mutants are such a persecuted lot in the same world where Avengers are treated like superstars.

tying in x-men with mcu would be the ultimate overload. things are good the way they are. spidey is questionable - unless sony pulls of a fox and brings raimi back.

Are you saying such a criticism would not be valid?
