I still can't believe how boring it turned out.

It was supposed to be a fun action/adventure movie. It was one of my biggest disappointments of the year. Edited by CJohn

Even though a movie like Twilight was released in mid-november, I saw it a week ago in the mid of december. I'm pretty sure I also saw Jack and Jill sometime at the beginning of december. All these movies are not necessarly movies that I was looking forward to seeing, but rather deciding to go out with a friend(s) and picking what current movie could be interesting.

As you can see, I won't be stopping watching movies in theaters any time soon. To me it will always be different from watching a movie at home, it's basically a night out, a reason to GET OUT OF HOME. lol

My favorite movie for the year is by far Rise of the Planet of the Apes which I saw twice in theaters. Definitely the movie of the year in my eyes. My least favorite was Drive, it was too slow/boring and also more violent/graphic than the trailer suggested.

Drive is brilliant filmmaking. Take some Ritalin. :P

I'm definitely curious about The Grey. Red Tails looks it has potential and if it has strong reviews, I'll give it a chance (plus I'm curious to see what Lucas is able to produce these days). Not sure about Underworld yet, I only enjoyed the first one but the story is somewhat interesting to me...for some reason. After that, as a Star Wars fan I have to check out TPM in 3D. Will judge This Means War on its reviews.March looks weak for until Hunger Games, which I'm only passingly interested in. Wrath of the Titans...will wait for reviews. Wow...I need it to be April, ASAP.

I was hating on Cowboys & Aliens the whole time, that's one of those movies I didn't bother seeing. It's almost not fair for the movies I do see- below are my rankings of the films I've seen this year, and even though something like Hangover II is pretty low on the list, that's only by default because I'm sure stuff like C&A, Green Lantern, Jack and Jill etc would get a much worse rating from me if I had actually seen it. Apart from the bolded ones, I've seen all these at the theater and two of them more than once-

    [*]Bridesmaids (9.5) [3x in theaters]

    [*]Drive (9.5)

    [*]50/50 (9.2)

    [*]Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (9.0)

    [*]Hanna (8.8)

[*]The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (8.5)

[*]Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (8.0) [2x in theaters]

[*]Rise of the Planet of the Apes (8.0)

    [*]Horrible Bosses (8.0)

    [*]The Muppets (8.0)

    [*]Paranormal Activity 3 (8.0)

    [*]X-Men: First Class (8.0)

[*]Kung Fu Panda 2 (8.0) (Redbox)

    [*]The Descendants (7.5)

    [*]Moneyball (7.5)

    [*]Hugo: 3D (7.2)

    [*]The Ides of March (7.2)

    [*]Unknown (7.0)

    [*]Red Riding Hood (7.0)

    [*]The Mechanic (7.0)

    [*]Midnight in Paris (7.0)

    [*]What’s Your Number? (6.5)

    [*]The Adjustment Bureau (6.5)

    [*]Fast Five (6.5)

    [*]J. Edgar (6.5)

[*]The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (I) (6.0)

    [*]Bad Teacher (5.0)

    [*]Scream 4 (5.0)

    [*]The Hangover II (5.0)

    [*]I Am Number Four (5.0)

    [*]The Roommate (3.5)

    [*]Battle: Los Angeles (2.0) (Netflix)

I'm slowly starting to get into The Hunger Games hype myself. Trailer looks interesting, and reading about the universe Collins created its sounds like there's some real imagination put into it.Plus John Carter, of course, and both the animated efforts coming out in March look promising.

Wrath of the Titans is looking good too

March looks crazy. The Lorax, John Carter, 21 Jump Street (I think it looks very funny), The Hunger Games, The Pirates! and Wrath of the Titans. This is a Summer month that somehow ended in Spring.

April looks weak this year. March is where all the action is.

I forgot about John Carter, which I'll definitely be seeing (but if reviews are shoddy, perhaps not paying for).Other than that, though, I have to disagree. A couple of films might have some potential at the box office, but as far as what I'm actually looking forward to its mostly in April (American Reunion, Titanic, Five-Year Engagement).
