stripe
Guardians of the Galaxy has one of the weakest score in the superhero genre. WTF? The theme is very strong and it has a lot of standout moments. Definetely better than ASM2 and every Iron Man score. Right now I would rate Marvel Universe scores like this Avengers Thor2 Guardians Iron Man3 Thor Captain America Captain America2 Iron Man2 Iron Man
ddddeeee
Guardians is the definition of music wallpaper. It's always there chugging away rarely making an impression. Like most of the Avengers action music it was temped with no doubt.
Ezen Baklattan
Iron Man 3 is the only Marvel soundtrack I really enjoy (Doyle's Thor score also being decent), at least just for the end credits track. The rest seem woefully interchangeable, especially during Phase 2. My favorite scores of the year so far: HTTYD2 Under The Skin Maleficent The Grand Budapest Hotel Snowpiercer Edited August 26, 2014 by Spaghetti
ddddeeee
Very Good Thor Captain America The Incredible Hulk Iron Man 3 Decent Thor: The Dark World The Avengers Iron Man 2 Bleh Guardians of the Galaxy Iron Man My ears! Captain America: The Winter Soldier Really hoping Christopher Young is confirmed for Doctor Strange to spice things up.
The Stingray
Under the Skin is the only one that has stuck in my mind. That was some weird twisted extragalactic shit right there.

I find his music quite generic

ddddeeee
Christopher Young? Why? I find his music quite generic Christopher Young has one of the most distinctive voices in the industry, he's anything but generic.

4815162342
Guardians has competent music that blends into the action well but rarely has a notable/distinctive voice.

stripe
Hellraiser, Hellraiser II, Drag Me To Hell, Murder in the First,The Core, Priest, Jennifer 8... He's one of the best imo. Forgot about Drag Me to Hell and didn't know Jennifer8 was composed by Christopher Young. Both great scores I've always associated Young to generic horror scores. And to Ghost Rider

Goffe
I've been listening Godzilla lately, and It takes the title of the most "underwhelming with a wonderful theme" score of the year. the ending of "To Q Zone" and "Golden Gate Chaos" are pretty good though Edited December 13, 2014 by Goffe Ascending
Jack Nevada
Interstellar OST was good even though about 40% of it was lifted straight from Koyaanisqatsi.
