Looks like there was slight frontloading for the first weekend of BH6.

TalismanRing
Sorry, forgot the link. They're from Deadline http://deadline.com/2014/11/dumb-and-dumber-to-friday-opening-day-box-office-1201285100/ 2). Big Hero 6 (DIS), 3,773 theaters (+12) / $8.2M Fri. / 3-day cume: $33.7M (-40%)/ Total Cume: $109.2M /Wk 2 Multiplier is a bit low. WIR did $33m off a $7.87. BH6 with the same multiplier would do $34.3 but with a bigger Friday jump (335% vs WIR's 282%) a larger Saturday jump wouldn't surprise me.

#ED
So their estimates from 3PM EST stayed the same?
TalismanRing
I think some demand for BH6 might have been burnt off last Tuesday on Veterans day. But then it wouldn't have jumped 335% on Friday compared to WIR 282% So their estimates from 3PM EST stayed the same? Shockingly, the early estimates seemed to be for once accurate....
Mojoguy
The topic title is WRONG. It's 8.2m for BH6, NOT 8m.

Rudolf
forget about Gravity DoM comparison (unless Nolan grows some miraculous sexy legs), the battle is in OS gross. In Summer when I asked, why should IS make significantly more than Gravity, I was told, because it is Nolan. Well it is making significantly lesss than Gravity. OS might be a different story, but probably because of the actors and not because of the director.
