I'm guessing you saw it too?! It was such an uncanny film; but it was great! I'm always afraid I miss these types of movies because they're only in that one theater across town for like two weeks or so -- I have to put their release dates on my calendar. The film was amazing! And I agree... my local theater does not play films like When Marnie Was There often and the last time they supported a film like that was with Ponyo... LOL!
