So how many of you had Pixels in your top 15?  ;)

I avoided that.

But I did have Tomorrowland, Terminator, and Ted 2

And I have Fantastic 4 coming up

There's also The Man From UNCLE coming up but I got faith. Looks baller.

Speculation time

This is what the top 15 looks like currently (more or less)

1. Jurassic World - $611,228,810
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron - $455,998,417
3. Inside Out - $306,247,046
4. Minions - $261,000,000
5. Pitch Perfect 2 - $183,436,380
6. San Andreas - $151,244,307
7. Mad Max: Fury Road - $150,986,661
8. Spy - $106,598,725
9. Ant-Man - 106,000,000

10. Tomorrowland - $91,755,697
11. Terminator: Genisys - $85,642,314
12. Ted 2 - $78,359,250

13. Trainwreck - $61,000,000

14. Magic Mike XXL - $60,584,009
15. Insidious Chapter 3 - $51,903,851

Contenders to get on to this list are Vacation, Rogue Nation, Fantastic Four, UNCLE, Compton. Don't think anything else in the rest of summer has a shot at grossing 50M or now. Ted 2 will almost surely miss out on the top 15 as Rogue Nation and Fantastic Four will most likely hit 80M. If Vacation pulls off a We Are The Millers, it will end up on the list as well. Compton will open well (maybe mid-30s), legs will be the question. UNCLE will open decently (maybe 30) and will rely on legs, both movies have little time though.

Right now, the top 15 prediction will be:

Locks:

Jurassic World

Avengers

Inside Out

Minions

PItch Perfect 2

San Andreas

Mad Max

Ant-Man

Almost locks:

Spy

Trainwreck

Fighting for the final 5 spots (as of today):

Tomorrowland

Genisys

Rogue Nation

Vacation

Fantastic Four

UNCLE

Compton

Extremely outside shot:

Ted 2 (if literally everything flops)

Despite their horrible underperformance, we may end up with both Tomorrowland and Genisys in the top 15 if 2 of the remaining 5 movies disappoint.

Look at that spread between 4th and 5th. There could be a 150m gap. This summer really is feast or famine.

Yeah. If Minions or IO had disappointed a la Penguins of Madagascar, the 1+2 > 3 through 7 question actually might have happened which is pretty much unheard of.

Terminator, Ted, and Tomorrowland are really the only "famine" ones. Everything else either went way above expectations or at least met expectations. Well, AoU was also below expectations, but still hard to really knock a movie that made 450m+.

I'm actually going to get negative points for a film I correctly placed in the top 15. How absurd is that?

Pretty normal for this year actually. Pretty much everything except San Andreas and Ant-Man did way different then what most expected either by breaking out or flopping.
