Thursday #s: Twinkies 9.4, THE FEELS 2.2, Featherless Beasts 1.9 (rth) (page 3)

Recommended Posts

Minions outgrossed IO by 6,000 its first Thursday. It's second weekend should start to tell us alot about that movie. I could see anywhere from 50 to 60 for it depending upon how strong a weekend movie it is.

great hold by JW. it is going to pass TA by at least 20M, sorry.

Solid hold for IO. it continues to be fun to watch IO and JW almost move in perfect tandem. Going to be close again this weekend.

I don't see TG at 82 by Sunday. 81 and a little change is where I think it is going to be.

i think Ant-Man ends up between 65-70 after pretty solid previews. More than I thought it would get.

am I weird for wanting to see both Ant-Man (with my son) and TW (with my wife).

Sure.. Great and wonderful, but it still doesn't change the fact that JW is limping to 600M and all this babble about it beating TA and having to gross another 25M to do so is just that: Babble.. Again, if it does it, then great and I'll stand corrected, but for now, I'm not seeing it and it barely coming up short.. Sue me..

Are you by any chance up for a username/signature bet? I'm willing to bet you that not only will JW beat TA's DOM gross, but it will pass it by the end of its ninth weekend. Heck, I feel pretty good that it will do it by the end of its eighth weekend if the stars align, but I say ninth weekend just in case your "analysis" has any form of accuracy.

Are you up for the challenge? That's JW being over or under $623,357,910 by the end of day 59. I'll take the over, if you accept.

I'm sure it will surpass it in 2 weeks or less.

For as slow as it's taking JW to hit 600M, I'm still maintaining it doesn't make another 24M to beat TA.. It's slowed down ALOT and if I'm wrong, so be it, but I'm still not seeing it happening for what was such a sure fire thing..

Gotta hand it to you, you sure have livened up the threads.  Agree with Kowan that JW will pass TA's unadjusted domestic gross in two weeks or less.

Awww, poor baby. JW is gonna hit $600m 18 days faster than TA1.

Sue me..

To clarify:

Breaking the speed record to a milestone by 11 days is "limping" to said milestone?

ANT-MAN will steal a lot of it's thunder away this weekend..

Like IO and its $90.4 million OW and Minions and its $115.7 million OW? And Dope, Ted 2, Max, Terminator Genesys, Magic Mike XXL, The Gallows and Self/Less all opening too?
