Avatar is easily Cameron’s worst movie, it’s solid (like a B- but the 3D made it more watchable but it’s very forgettable.

For me that's True Lies.    Avatar is somewhere in the middle.

Captain Marvel is basically an apology film from Marvel Studios for not having a single female lead movie after 20 movies over 11 years with males leads.

They get zero praise from me.

CM was also only announced after a Woman Woman movie was announced.

WW was only announced because Marvel forced WB to create a shared universe.

WW is their #3 character....what else would they announce?   Martin Manhunter?   Hawkman?   WW is lucky they failed with GL first or he may have been next up.   He already jumped ahead of her once.

If Marvel had a female character like WW, it would have been their FIRST movie instead of Iron Man.    WB is sooo "brave" to take that big risk....with Wonder Woman.

Marvel is already doing a female SH only 11 years in and they are doing it with Capt Marvel.

WB took...how many decades to make a WW movie?   Four?    Yay?   What is that "praise" for?...

..."Trying"?   They had access to Wonder Woman and all they could muster up was "trying"?

Look back at Wonder Woman's long and winding journey to the big screen

Is this one of those special events where everyone gets a medal for "trying"?

I guess they were "trying" a little harder with Steel and Jonah Hex.   If Marvel were copying WB they would make Capt Marvel in 2048 after years of "trying".

This smells like a group of fanboys looked for anything they could find that other studios did that Marvel didn't do and suddenly made it "important".

"Oh look!   Marvel hasn't done an R rated movie yet!    Fox finally did one!   Let's pretend Fox has been doing R rated movies for 17 years and start claiming that's vitally important to making a good CBM!"

How much does Marvel pay you? I am thinking about earning some extra money and I could be a spokesperson for Marvel.

The Coon > all CBMS. This is true.

I agree that The Coon is badass, but I can't sympathize with Cartman, fuck him right up the ass. People wanna talk about Keaton, Eric Cartman is the definition of a child being a racist psychopath and a douchebag, and not in a "he was raised like that by bad parents" way, but in a "this guy is a Goddamn evil asshole and he fucking knows it and loves it" way. It's a close competition between him and Joffrey Baratheon as who's the most despicable child ever concieved in a TV series.

(He's a great character though, but he should go to Hell anyway )

If you have an XB1, PS4 or PC I highly recommend South Park: The Fractured But Whole

I've beaten it already. 'Twas.... alright? Not outright bad, but very disappointing. Stick Of Truth was way better.

And fuck Cartman still. Call Girl is my real jam in that game.

That was funny, yeah. The SPONTANEOUS BOOTAH one was really interesting too.

But the game felt like it was trying too hard, and I never really laughed that much. SOT had me gutting, while this got the occasional laugh here or there, but it felt very Ubisoft in how choreful it all was. Not to mention the bugs and glitches which were anything but funny.

Both, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel, were announced on October 2014.

But,

In May 2013, the The Hollywood Reporter reported that Marvel Studios has a script for a Ms. Marvel feature.

In August 2014, Kevin Feige revealed that Captain Marvel is a character the film studio would like to explore.

In October 2014, the movie was announced as part of their upcoming slate of films.

Also,

[Only] In July 2012 [so, after the first Avengers], Carol Danvers, the longtime super-heroine known as Ms. Marvel, assumed the mantle of Captain Marvel in an ongoing series written by Kelly Sue DeConnick with art by Dexter Soy.

"They get zero praise from me."

Oh, too bad.

Next year we have 'Black Panther', with many great black women, scientist, warriors, queen, of all ages.

'Infinity War', with many great female characters.

And 'Ant-Man and The Wasp',  the first female Marvel superhero to have equal billing with her male counterpart in an MCU film.

And, after those, 'Captain Marvel', "the most powerful MCU character", just 7 years after starting to become an iconic female character in the comic books.

Marvel could done a Black Widow Movie after The Avengers but they did not.

They still have 30 years or so in WB "progressive" time.    Apparently it's ok to take four decades to do it as long as you were "trying".

And that's if Back Widow is on the same tier as Wonder Woman....which we know is not true.   Again, Marvel would have gone with WW first if they had the rights to a character that big.    She was certainly a better option than Iron Man in 2008.

You have no proof of this. Zero none what so ever.

Instead of Black Widow Marvel greenlight GOTG, Ant-Man, Dr. Strange because all of these characters were so well known to GA even after Black Widow was in Avengers 1.

Marvel has a script for Ms. Marvel in 2013 and announced her movie in 2014, the same year WW was announced. Yet her movie will come out in 2019, the same year as WW 2.

They are making a Antman and Wasp, after they made the first Ant man movie with 10 seconds of Wasp (before she was killing off) in it.

Also Carol has been a important character when she was Ms. Marvel. It's not like she only become relevant after she take the name "Captain Marvel". They could just make a movie named Ms. Marvel, there won't be any difference, as a matter of fact, it might be less confusing for the general audiences because they won't mistake her with Shazam.

Praise Marvel for making Black Panther, they deserve that. But stop pretending Marvel has treat their female characters with so much respect.

Black Widow is just a spy and wouldn't bring anything new to the table, that's why they didn't make her movie before.

GOTG  - New galaxy, Space Opera, sci-fi fantasy.

Ant-Man - Quantum Realm, Heist Movie, mentor/pupil and fathers/daughters story.

Doctor Srange - Multiverse, Sorcerers, new magic concepts.

Black Panther - One of a kind character [african warrior, king and hero], one of a kind background [advanced african civilization, afrofuturism].

A Black Widow isn't a really iconic different character, her movie movie would be just a spy movie, something like 'Captain America - The Winter Soldier', well, that's why she's basically the co-protagonist of that movie.

Her movie would not cause some real impact, would be just another Salt, Colombiana, Atomic Blonde.

That's why they didn't make her movie before and I fail to understand how you guys don't see it.

1 - And? Schedules, son. WB is announcing many Wonder Woman movies in the last 20 years.

2 - Her character is extremely important in the first movie and not being the Wasp is an important part of all the plot ans themes for that movie. I don't get your point, really.

3 - Ms Marvel? Just a female counterpart to Captain Marvel, I'm glad they didn't do that. Turning Carol Danvers into THE Captain Marvel was what made her iconic, important and a symbol for women and for feminism. It was what brought new concepts to the character, making her really interesting. I'm a comic book reader since childhood and compare the importance that Carol Danvers as Ms Marvel with her as Captain Marvel is ridiculous.

4 - Well, yeah, Black Panther deserves all the praise. But Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Peggy Carter, Hope van Dyne, Gamora, Nebula, Ayesha, Mantis, Valkyrie, Hela, The Ancient One, Christine Palmer, Sharon Carter, Michelle Jones, May Parker, Pepper Potts, Maria Hill, etc. are treated in very respectul ways (and I'm sure Okoye, Nakia, Ayo, Ramonda and Shuri will be too, soon).

AH! Jesssica Jones, Elektra, karen Page, Claire Temple, Daisy/Quake, Melinda May, Jemma Simmons, Colleen Wing, Misty Knight, etc. TV side.
