There is a chance that SLOP beats FD in OS but I still find that probability to be <50%. INFERNO won't be a threat.

MinaTakla
THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures’ family phemon is having another great weekend, scratching in about $15.1M in 56 territories for an international total of$427.2M. Combined with the estimated U.S. total of $361.8M, the worldwide gross is now a whopping$789M. This weekend, Pets enjoyed a No. 1 in Australia with a take of around $5.8M (including last week’s previews) to take a 30% market share. The film opened bigger than comps like Inside Out, Zootopia and Despicable Me 2 to name a few, and is well placed for the upcoming staggered school holidays that run through early October. Elsewhere in Malaysia, Pets bit off a No. 2 opening with $62K, opening to similar numbers as Inside Out and even bigger than Despicable Me. Once again, the animated fave is set to take advantage of the country’s holidays this week. In Japan, it still is holding well in its fifth weekend out, with a strong No. 2 presence. The weekend took in $982K for a country cume of $38.1M. Brazil is still No. 1 for the third week in a row, tucking in another $2.2M with a very strong 30% market share. The 18-day total is $13.8M. And finally, Singapore is still holding strong at No. 1 for the second week in a row for a purse of around $490K; it has 30% market share for a big 11-day total of $2.1M. The film still has four markets in its release schedule, up first with New Zealand on Sept. 15, Poland on Sept. 23, South Africa the following weekend and Italy on Oct. 6.

MinaTakla
‘Secret Life Of Pets’ Rolls Over $800M Global To Push Illumination Past $4B In Worldwide Box Office Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures’ The Secret Life Of Pets got a nice little scratch behind the ears as it crossed $800M at the worldwide box office this weekend. Through today, the film has grossed $363.4M domestically and $441.6M offshore where it has opened No. 1 in 42 markets to date. The global cume is now an estimated $805M and Pets is the No. 6 movie at the worldwide box office in 2016. This weekend’s kitty has the knock-on effect of taking Illumination’s global box office across the $4B mark, factoring in all releases since 2010, beginning with Despicable Me. The other titles are: Hop, Dr Seuss’ The Lorax, Despicable Me 2, Minions andPets. That current worldwide total of $4.027B should go up a fair few octaves when Illumination’s Sing releases in December. The movie delighted in its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival last week after footage was teased at several industry gatherings over the past year. An original “let’s put on a show” show as Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri has referred to it, Sing lifts the curtain internationally on December 8 and bows domestically on December 21. Turning back to Pets, the movie has set several records including the best domestic opening for an original film, animated or otherwise, in July. Overseas, it was the biggest opening for an original animated film in 17 territories, and the No 1 animated film of 2016 to date in 13. In Spain, Pets is the highest grossing film of 2016 so far. In Russia it is the third highest-grossing film of ever (behind Avatar and Zootopia). The Pets also fall in line at No. 3 behind Gru and crew in terms of Illumination’s titles overseas. Minions is No 1 with $830.6M and Despicable Me 2 is No 2 $607.6M. Meledandri was recently at the Venice Film Festival for Pets Italian premiere. It bow-wows there on October 6.

MinaTakla
YAHOO: It’s no secret that animated movies tend to bring in big business at the box office nowadays, as Illumination and Universal’s ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ has proven.Released in early July, ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ has now taken over $800 million worldwide, currently sitting on just shy of $805 million, according to Box Office Mojo. And frankly it’s no surprise to see it do so well, with it being released during summer’s peak period when all the kids are off and, well, because you only need to look at the few dozen animated movies that’ve came beforehand from studios such as Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks to see there’s huge demand for adventures of the colourful, CGI kind. While this year’s ‘Finding Dory’ and ‘Zootropolis’ have both amassed in excess of $900 million each, their budgets perhaps reflect that in so much as they cost around $150-200 to produce. Looking at ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ and its fairly modest budget (in comparison) of $75 million, it perhaps makes its feat a tad more impressive. More impressive due to the fact it’s not affiliated with Disney or Pixar, which, aside from last year’s disappointing return for ‘The Good Dinosaur’, pretty much sell themselves. https://uk.movies.yahoo.com/the-secret-life-of-pets-passes-800-million-mark-213337236.html Edited September 19, 2016 by MinaTakla

I think there's another ~$15M to go in markets that opened up before Brazil, another ~$15M from Brazil, New Zealand, and Australia combined (mostly Australia), which would bring us up to ~$474M. Domestic should be around $366M. That adds up to ~$840M, ~$18M required from Italy/Poland to pass Inside Out.
