Do New Line and Lionsgate have established distribution arms OS though? Disney does, in every territory.

It's not so much that as it is covering a significant production budget with some significant risk, I think.

By that logic, New Line didn't give a shit about LOTR and Lionsgate didn't give a shit about THG. :P

Besides, the movie is clearly a dump job. Two weeks after Disney's own Dory and a week before Pets? Lol. We will be seeing more adds for Dory over the 4th of July weekend than The BFG

Btw, it is also the last movie in the Dreamworks/Disney deal.

I can sense the dump job and it is unreal with this one. Pacific Rim/Rise of the Guardians level of dump job.

The running total difference between Civil War and IM3 is now just 4.5M, it was 9.6M last weekend. Civil War lost 5M in the past week. The IM3 vs Civil War final total race is actually going to be really close. Depending on TMNT2, they could come out of this weekend just 1-1.5M apart.

To paraphrase THE INCREDIBLES, O Prince of Darkness, "when everything's a dump job, nothing is." :P

They should delay Rogue One if it is that troubled. I have confidence in any case Kathleen et al will fix the deficiencies.

More Vader is always a winner.

No one knows how troubled it is except for the executives.

Disney wouldn't release it if they thought it was going to hurt the series they paid $4B+ for. No need to get nervous unless they delay the film.

Episode 7 was delayed and that worked out OK.
