That's shocking. A month back I thought the probability of it doing 85-90m OW was higher than that of 85-90m DOM.

85 OW and 2.5x would have given ~210-215m DOM and was expecting a number around that at least on the high end.

Even more depressing is the fact that DOM will be bigger than China gross.

TS3 fell 49% over the 3-day and 27.4% over the 4-day.

Same drops will give DORY 37m over the 3-day and 53m over the 4-day.

 

However, In 2010 ID fell on Sunday compared to Monday this year.

In 2011 when ID fell on Monday, Sunday was flat. So DORY could to 40m over the 3-day but Monday will show a drop while it increased from Sunday for TS3. DORY will probably show a better 3-day drop than TS3 but a similar 4-day one.

FD had a stellar 2nd Tuesday in the US, $14.7M (a 44% increase from Monday) for a $311.2M total. High odds of reaching $475M, even more there. $1B WW still very possible.

ANd overseas will not save it. It did OK overseas,but it needed to much better then OK to make up for way it is flopping in the US. Best case scenario is Fox manages to break even on it...and that seems to be slipping away. Total fiasco for Fox,and  a real blow to Roland Emmerich's career. That is four flops in a row...and two of them big budget SFX heavy action films,one of them a sequel to his signature picture. Guess just blowing stuff up real good...Emmerich's one talent as a director....alone is not enough anymore.
