Do you really have some kind of death wish or something? Knock it off with trying to wage a bet with everyone.

I'm not sure I understand. It doesn't have to be monetary. Can't we do friendly bets? I'm not sure about name-changes or whatever, but something in good fun?

They should've pushed harder for a China release. It's not about the material in the movie! It's about studios pushing for a China release. That's all. Anyways, it's all a mute point. Suicide squad ain't passing Gotg or TWS even 'with a China release'

Oh, but SS, Ghostbusters and Deadpool didn't get released there, exactly because of the nature of their "material".

Too bad you can't push that, hard enough.

Let's see. If WB, Sony and Fox tried had tried to "push hard" for a China release:

Spoiler

1) Suicide Squad would be a movie without a villain.

2) Ghostbusters would be a movie without ghosts.

3) Deadpool would be a movie without violence.

Yeah, sorry. I'm glad WB, Fox and Sony didn't destroy their movies, just to please China's censorship.

I don't do bets with people I don't know. I'm not a damn fool. I've been naive about that shit in the past and not doing it again bc I'll know you'll never keep your 'bet.'

Why not something easy to monitor? Loser doesn't post on anything Marvel/DC related.

I'm not a betting man, but It really is stupid to bet someone on the Internet.

Anyways, I'm done with this 'discussion'

it really isn't one when the MCU has won a in a cake walk. The DCCU is the titanic taking on water.

Wow, some of ya'll should read your own posts at least 10 times, or better yet, get someone else to proof read them, before even considering hitting that submit button.

Would have saved most of us the secondhand embarrassment from witnessing these posts.

Anyway, great overall weekend. Happy about Trek's solid hold. Came a bit late in its run but better late than never.

So I finally saw Ghostbusters last night, like I thought could be possible, @Tele the Jet Baller is right. It's not perfect (I thought Kevin was way too juvenile) but it's definitely one of the better movies of this summer.

Sonys marketing team for that should be fired. They should have never engaged anyone. I really don't understand how they made it look that bad in the trailers either.

I forgot you were even gonna check it out. Glad you liked it!

Saw Sausage Party a few hours ago. Was not expecting that ending, loved the religious allegories, and it was quite hilarious overall. Plus, I saw someone bring their fucking 10 year old to the theater...

Can we do some kind of bet?!?!?!

I'll take

1) Suicide Squad over 600m WW

2) WW over 400m WW

3) WW RT Score red (got this in the bag cause I already paid the critics)

I'm willing to do loser donates to the site, weird cosplay bets, or whatever!

Why don't offer these bets in the box office casino?

Here's some funny anecdotal evidence about SP's WOM. I just saw Lights Out with a friend and after talking about the movie for five minutes, we spent the rest of the twenty minute drive home talking about Sausage Party, after we had spent the entire ride there talking about it.

Damn great film, will hopefully catch it again this week.

You're.... using yourself to prove WOM?

Tele you know the world revolves around me so obviously I'm the best source of evidence

Maybe WOM wasn't the best choice of words, but I just wanted to share that story because I thought it was amusing. Also worth noting (once again anecdotally) everyone I've met in real life who has seen it loved it, except for my one friend who hates everything popular  lol

Please, I would like to know your opinion about Lights Out if that isn't too much to ask. Didn't you loved the creativity with

Spoiler

the bullets fired at the end?

I would never thought of it.

The good multis for MCU are dying from the fact that we now have around 10+ movies that are mandatory viewings for most MCU flicks. A portion of the GA just can't be bothered with that anymore, regardless of whatever WOM may be. Thankfully, there's a huge portion that has liked them enough to stay invested and still shows up in droves on OW.
