2017 wasn't the best year for the game but we had a total of 11 players wade into the game over the year with 7 of those players being active through much of the year.  

 

this years awards, given i'm time constrained will be a little bit shorter than previous years.  Sadly the game is slightly in decline at the moment with only 3 active players...  but anyway on with it!

As always we the awards will be as follows:

 

• ROI (Return on Investment) Award
• Best Investor Award
• Company Value Award
• The Weekend Award
• Revenue or total gross for the year award
• Geekfreek Award

with the geekfreek award being the ultimate winner of the game.

Q1 was a strong start to the year with investments in most films through January.  The worst performers of the month were Underworld and Resident evil which I sadly had piece of both films.  At the other end of the scale we had Split make 138m off a 9m budget which I also had a good piece of ... along with Simionski and MCkillswitch123.  Throughout feb and march there was plenty of success with some failure in there.  nothing like splits performance though which was a standout.  Of course March did have Beauty and the beast and while it was a lot more expensive at 160m, it did make a lot still.  The entire quarter was dominated by Simionski who won all 3 months very convincingly putting out in early lead.

The Return on Investment Award awards the player who got the highest overall Average % gain across their investments.  To be eligble you must have invested in 7 movies as minimum.

Exxdee averaged 168.05% across 21 releases

Meaning that the winner is between Grey Ghost and Simionski

Both simionski and Grey ghost have averages between 227.5% and 227.7% (yes it that close)

 

Simionski managed 227.53% across 40 releases

Grey Ghost got a mere 0.12% higher making him the winner with 227.65% across 43 releases!
