filmlover
Tele's real favorite Christmas movie is Christmas with the Kranks. Because nothing makes him feel more warm inside than fascism.

Jayhawk the Hutt
It's odd to me how Polar Express is still re-released in theaters every year. Don't really know anyone who likes it (the book is awesome though). Also, The Apartment is one of my favorite movies of all-time, I just don't really associate it as a Christmas movie (though if Die Hard qualifies, that certainly does).

It's so bad it made me question my love for Jamie Lee Curtis, and that's quite the feat.
CoolioD1
people who say die hard is their favourite christmas movie are lame. i'm very genre strict. if the narrative isn't in some way focused on christmas i won't recognise it as a christmas movie in my church.

The recent Honest Trailer they did for it is the most accurate one they've ever done.

Well I'm not 100% on the same page as you I have to say that I do agree with most of this. I'll be honest and say that there will be a few movies on this list like Die Hard that aren't exactly the traditional Christmas movie. But that's about it just a few. I would probably say without going through the list and doing the exact calculations probably 95% of this list is going to be movies with strong Christmas themes. Not necessarily films that take place around Christmas time. Now having said that die hard is just an awesome staple of Awesomeness and it is played in my household every year around Christmas time so it absolutely will make this list. CoolioD1
i'm pretty adamant on nightmare before christmas as a christmas movie (henry selick said halloween but he's wrong). you're spending your time with the halloween town characters but through the whole movie the plot is they're learning about christmas, the whole climax is christmas eve they have to save santa at the end. watching it at christmas just feels more right.

Jayhawk the Hutt
I am looking forward to SW on Christmas becoming an annual (or near-annual) tradition. It actually feels more at home during Christmas than Summertime (which would have been blasphemy a few years ago).
