Very happy about fantastic beasts! I hope this can get near to 240m by the end of its run.. I also noticed that today it was doing better on movietickets than yesterday. It was above Moana for sometime and only 1% below since then. We may see FB getting the top spot tommorow!

The important thing is Moana is ahead of Frozen now in terms of the daily gross. That's huge considering Frozen's OW was 11m higher.

i think moana will be more of a weekend-and-tuesday movie until the holidays

The weekend shouldn't be any lower than 28m, even with significantly worse bumps than Frozen's second weekend. 30m+ is definitely possible.

Maybe based on the rather small needed new screens for only small drops in general and even some hopes in especial? Or it is about a new city/region... (Costa Rica or which other country is it, that also does count into dom beside CAN also?)

WTF??? Fox is expanding Rule Don't Apply even when it is posting worst PTA.

Major studio films usually have a two week contract with exhibitors and others (especially arthouse theaters) often plan their scheduled films weeks in advance, so they're obligated to pick the film up regardless of how bad it's doing

They're using a stock hold based on the usual patterns. Moana's weekday numbers have been beating Frozen's overall, so clearly the WOM is already showing up. 57% drop would really be some sucky weekend increases now.
