I like this optimism coming from your mouth my dear :shades:

EN ROUTE VERS LES 2 MILLIARDS, VERS L'INFINI ET AU-DELA :D

It is not optimism. I always try to be objective ;) This is a MONSTER

The more and more I run the numbers, it really makes me think this is doing at least $1.4 billion overseas. I'm hard pressed to see it missing this unless China goes under $300 million (which should be impossible). China may even go over $400 million.

China reaching $400m..for a comicbook movie? Many things changed since I looked at it if that's true o_o

For this comic book movie, yes. Early tracking has it pacing over $170 million opening weekend and WOM in similar Asian countries (SK, HK, Taiwan) is very high.

not once, but twice though?

See, i normally dont dislike your insane lunatic love for that one movie, but this is now all about Infinity War. We can talk about Avatar 2 when (if) it comes out or maybe during Labor Day Weekend, but not now. Now its the time of the Avengers ;)

I hope it happens, that would be fantastic!

In Chile the opening day was a recordbreaking 130k admissions. Over the weekend apparently Infinity War couldn't top Furious 8 record of 415K admissions, but was good enough to beat it in gross (ER is significantly better now than in April 2017).

Again, Tuesday is a Holiday and Mondays is "sandwich" (many take the day off since is between 2 holidays) so that could have diluted its proper OW, still amazing. I remain cautious of its legs but I will be there to soft its second weekend drop ;)

I'm not so sure this is going to hit $2b

USA: 250 x 2.4 = 600

OS-Russia-China: 380 x 2.63 = 1b

Russia = 35

China = 350-400

Total: 1.985b-2.035b

And I think I am being conservative. If there is nothing strange, it will happen.

2.5x legs domestic, 2.75x legs overseas-C and 2x legs in China take this to 2b. That's not including Russia.

I don't think these legs are unrealistic or even optimistic.

Well your math checks outs. Absolutely plausible!
