"Kelly Fremon Craig to direct LGBT vampire romance Midnight opening in theater February Year 4"

"Cody Christian cast in lead role in Midnight. Other cast members: Katherine Langford, Jacob Batalon, Luke Benwood, Miles Heizer, Madelaine Petsch, and Lili Reinhart. More casting coming."

"Early premise of Midnight: Austin (Cody Christian) has a secret nobody at his high school knows: He is gay. When he is paired with Joe (Miles Heizer) for a project, he learns Joe has the same secret, but also learns Joe has a darker secret."

"Per O$corp Pictures press release: "Midnight is the spiritual successor of Poison and Wine. However, it is more intimate and personal much like Best Picture nominee 56 Days of Love."

"Poison and Wine challenged viewers with LGBT sexual explicitness, 56 Days of Love showed viewers first love hurts regardless of attraction, and Midnight will show that LGBT kids are like everybody else.

As speculated, Alpha Flight has been pushed back into Y4 due to major story problems. Witches has also been pushed back to Y4 but Battletoads will croak into Y3 taking Witches spot.

* She hides behind a crate and tries to hold it together as the shadow of Ridley emerges behind her *

* Cookie Pictures logo *

(0:39)

* Trailer picks up many years later. We see Samus Aran (Kaya Scodelario) landing her ship at the Galactic Fedaration's flagship carrier *

Adam (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) [V.O]: I've seen you plunge yourself into the deepest, darkest pits of the universe without so much as a second thought.

(0:47)

* Trailer cuts to Samus sitting in a chair and being interrogated by Adam Malkovich. Samus keeps a stern face throughout the interrogation. *

Adam: You've shown that no challenge is too great for you to overcome.

* Interrogation scene is intercut with shots of Samus being led by Federation soldiers, her meeting up with Anthony Higgs (David Oyelowo), a flashback of young Samus being picked up by the Chozo *

Samus: I was raised by the Chozo not to fear... Those beasts out there, they thrive on fear.

Adam: ...Then what are you so afraid of?

(1:04)

* Samus reacts to Adam's question. It appears to be hitting her fairly deep. *

* Samus sits at a table next to Melissa "MB" Bergman (Elle Fanning), helping her write something. MB stares blank-faced and her hand starts twitching unnaturally, revealing that she's an android. *

Adam [V.O]: There are things out there that shouldn't exist.

* We see a full body shot of Mother Brain resting inside a jar in some dark and foggy location *

Adam [V.O]: Things that go against the very fabric of nature itself.

* A baby Metroid is being studied and experimented on in a laboratory.

Adam [V.O]: In order to secure the future of our species...

* Samus enters her apartment to find furniture turned over and something having caused a mess *

* She opens the door to her fridge and finds the baby Metroid from before hiding in there eating her food. They are both startled and frozen still by the encounter.

Adam [V.O]: ...They need to all be exterminated.

(1:54)

* Samus lands at an abandoned space freighter and begins exploring *

* She comes across a statue of a Chozo (basically mecha-bird people) which comes to life and hands her a glowing orb-like object *

* A distressed Madeleine Bergman (Jessica Chastian) runs past several other scientists as if she's trying to hurry towards something *

* A gang of Federation soldiers set fire to what appears to be an alien cocoon *

* A horrified MB backs into a corner while we see the shadow of Ridley rising *

(2:07)

FROM THE STUDIO BEHIND

'V O L T R O N'

THE PRODUCERS OF

'DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES'

AND DIRECTOR

JENNIFER YUH NELSON

(2:11)

* The claw of Kraid bursts out of a glass container and tries to attack Samus *

* Samus, carrying the Metroid baby, fires back at a pack of dog-size alien parasites as they're chasing her *

* A Federation soldier is attacked by Ridley and disappears with him into a cloud of smoke *

* Anthony and K.G (Ryan Potter) are seen in a control bay reacting to something *

* MB, with her robot parts exposed, stumbles across a darkly lit room *

* Adam orders a platoon to fire at something off-screen *

* MB curls up and screams, apparently causing a noise so high-pitched it shatters all the glass around her and startles all the Federation soldiers pointing their guns at her *

(2:32)

* Quick shot of a tower exploding as Ridley flies away carrying the Metroid baby with Samus latched on to his tail *

* Samus, seemingly floating mid-air in a pinkish void and donning her Zero suit, curls up into a fetal position *

* We get a long tracking shot of Samus being pursued by alien monsters before she transforms into her morph ball form and rolls into a small gap where her pursuers can't get to her. *

* Smash cut to black *

(2:37)

* Mimicking the first scene in the trailer, Samus is seen hiding behind a pillar while the shadow of the bipedal form of Mother Brain emerges behind her accompanied by a low-key growl *

M E T R O I D

Samus is driving her spaceship through some kind of tunnel, taking a breather as she's just escaped something. Ridley, shown for the first time in full form, jumpscares her and the audience by slamming onto her cockpit window and screeching at the camera. *

ANOTHER BUMP IN THE ROAD FOR THE BIKER MICE

The Biker Mice from Mars, already delayed from their original December Y2 release date, are pulling off the road for another pit stop. Citing a desire to focus on the similar film Street Sharks, which moved much more quickly through pre-production, Gold Crescent Pictures has bumped the radical rodents out of their March 15th slot into an unspecified Y4 release date. In exchange, the studio's action/fantasy video game flick SoulCalibur, previously slated for late July, will now be taking over the March 15th date and the IMAX bookings previously held by the chopper-racing aliens. That places it in front of competition from similar features such as God of WarThe Odyssey, and Gold Crescent's own He-Man sequel, with the studio hoping the move will prove beneficial to the Paul W.S. Anderson-helmed adventure.

Lilo and Stitch has minor reshoots due to early screenings. The feedback from some sources agrees it’s a step up from Planet but is missing something. However it shouldn’t impact the date. Except more for Nani and David.

Time Cops travels to Y3. It’ll either target the August 30th or September 6th date due to the potential of the marketspace.
