Director Luc Besson was accused of rape on Thursday by a woman who says she was drugged and woke up in his hotel room. 

 

Will Lionsgate shelf this? It has a 30 million budget.

It’s pretty obvious that the person who he raped was the lead actress in this film (she was at Cannes and worked with him on Valerian).  I’m not quite sure if anyone would want to see a film where the director raped the lead actress.

This is supposed to come out in October. I imagine by then the case will be decided. If he is arrested I can’t see them releasing the film. That will be a $30 million loss for Lionsgate. Things just keep getting worse for that studio.

Luc can go to hell now. Valerian, a good movie, deserve to bomb due to his ego. His wife should dump him for good.
