Trailer looks quite cool too. But Luc Besson and the lead is a model so we’ll see.

Saw the trailer with John Wick. Yet another generic female spy actioner and Luc Besson's got them creeper vibes, but at least the action looks coherent and clear. Why is it that he is able to film action cleanly yet he continues to produce for directors who can’t?

saw the trailer at the cinema today. my first time hearing about it. it looks like every other female assassin movie being made these days atomic blonde/red sparrow type stuff nothing stands out about it. it feels like luc besson's whole pitch was "idk hot 20 year old kills people. that seems like something i'd do right?"

Anna is better than Atomic Blonde IMO

 

decent spy thriller. cool action (though not much) and twisted plot.

Critics are not impressed, saying Bresson is just rehashing his own films, 'La Femme Nikita" in particular,and brings nothing new to the table. Onesaid  it is ironic that recent  films that stole  heavily from "La Femme Nikita" ("Atomic Blond" "Red Sparrow")  did a much better job with the swiped merchandise then the director of "Nikita" did.

Apparently so. From the reviews..which are pretty rough.... Besson  has managed to do vastly inferior version of "La Femme Nikita" that film that really made Besson's career.
