CoolioD1
Bill Murray?!? Over Joaquin? I thought the Hyde Park movie had already been completely dismissed as a contender.

However if anyone from that movie will get in it's be Murray.
CoolioD1
It has. However if anyone from that movie will get in it's be Murray.Even that, I don't see, it's too crowded in this category... I think Murray should be able to get a globe nom but that's about it for him.

Jake Gittes
Anthony Hopkins' opinion of Oscars isn't at all different from Phoenix's: This film has a good amount of Oscar buzz. What do you think of awards season? Has it got a lot of Oscar buzz? I hadn't heard that. I think it does. For you as Best Actor; for Helen as Best Actress. Quite honestly, my agent phoned me and said, "Tony, you've got to get to New York because there's talk of this and that." I said, "I can't go to New York because I'm doing two films here. I'm working again on Monday, I was working Friday; I can't possibly get to New York." He said, "Well, you've got to try and get out of it." I said, "No, I'm working with this film company." In a way, I'm sort of relieved that I don't have to get embroiled in all this publicity face to face. Because, (a) I can't do it, and ( it makes no difference. You know, I've been around -- I've got the Oscar myself for "Silence of the Lambs" -- and having to be nice to people and to be charming and flirting with them ... oh, come on! People go out of their way to flatter the nominating body and I think it's kind of disgusting. That's always been against my nature. You're not alone; more and more, it seems like a lot of actors want the work to speak for itself. I do, too. You know, kissing the backside of the authorities that can make or break it; I can't stand all that. I find it nauseating to watch and I think it's disgusting to behold. People groveling around and kissing the backsides of famous producers and all that. It makes me want to throw up, it really does. It's sick-making. I've seen it so many times. I saw it fairly recently, last year. Some great producer-mogul and everyone kisses this guy's backside. I think, "What are they doing? Don't they have any self respect?" I wanted to say, "Fuck off." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/19/anthony-hopkins-hitchcock-oscars_n_2156179.html?utm_hp_ref=tw
JackO
Gitesh Pandya @giteshpandya Mixed #Oscar buzz on DanielDayLewis. Some say he's frontrunner, others say frontrunner by a mile. #Lincoln
Travod
I don't understand how that is "mixed" buzz. It's more like he's winning to he's already won. Surely mixed would be like 'he sucks, not even a nom" and "it's already on his mantlepiece."

RichWS
Kristopher Tapley @kristapley Does Day-Lewis win his third for Lincoln, though? I was resisting but the only person I think could give him a run now is Hugh Jackman. Kristopher Tapley @kristapley @BrianDuffield He's the only lead push in the film. I think that's gonna be the race, though. Jackman vs. Day-Lewis. An attractive one.
