Not a surprise folks look at previous years Easter weekends. 80% of k-12s are off today meaning that thursday night shows were fuller. Most films unless they got hit by theater losses for RP1 should have strong Thursdays.

WTF Black Panther....will we be climbing the 700 wagon once again after this weekend? I have one foot on it already. Even with a not so great (compared to the amazing Thu-Thu hold) 11.6 weekend (-32%), it will be on 651. Then adding a good-great, 3-4x times 11.6 gives it 34-44 more for 685-695.

Edit: but thanks to Easter I think the weekend drop will be better. That would make adding 4x the weekend to it's cume tougher. Say 12.75 weekend (-25%) and 3x more to it's run for 690 dom.

I think it could possibly do it the same weekend IW opens. Depends on how it survives the screen onslaught of the next 3 weekends. To think just 10 days ago we were discussing it stalling out around Tinanic its a great turn around.

People who are surprised by BP’s performance yesterday obviously do not pay much attention. BP was #1 on Wednesday after small drops all week and it increased 5% last Thursday. With so many schools out and plenty of workplaces closed today, yesterday was a mini-Friday so it was going to improve on last Thursday’s increase.

This. I was expecting a 20% increase based on The Winter Soldier's performance.

Fantastic for BP. 42 second straight day above 1M, 46 is pretty much locked. Breaking a tie with WW, SM1 and Batman 1989 for 2nd most days above 1M for SH movie behind 49 for TA.
