Mid-30s, which could increase depending on how strong reviews are. Just because there's no competition doesn't mean it has to break out IMO.

I don't expect ravings from the critics. Moderate praise is my guess. Mid 30s is low tho

Really? It's possible i guess, but  it will be hard.

Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, etc.  It is happening.  Plus what else are people gonna watch?  Solo?  Ocean's 8 will break out for sure.

This is indeed a movie where stars still matter.

Or they'll save their money for Incredibles and JW, which are tracking to make over 100M more on their OWs than Ocean's 8.

You're severely underestimating the middle-aged female demo.  Book Club is winding down and mostly appeals to people over 60.  O8 will appeal to the 25-50 female crowd very heavily.  Most of this demo will not necessarily even go out for Incredibles or Jurassic World.  It's okay though, you're a teenage boy so you underestimating it is to be expected (although in all fairness I am one too)

-77% off a disappointing Friday. Wow.

Amazing stuff.

And all the movies that looked like they were dropping off a cliff have been benefitting from the barren landscape; Life of the Party, Breaking In etc.

What an awful start to June. Personally don't see the draw of the Ocean's film, and though an empty market doesn't guarantee success, I think it sort of has a rising minimum OW. Thought it would struggle to get to $100m but it'll probably cruise past now.
