The main 'problem' is that DP2 and IW had a 61% and 63.4% drop. So a better drop this week than last week for IW and a worse drop for DP2. Still DP had an great Sunday, so that might explain the bigger drop. 

 

PS I know IW dropped even better, but hey it's IW

I don't see a problem with either of their numbers. I overreacted (as usual) with DP2 earlier.

They both had 62% drops from Sunday.

IW Monday to Monday drop is 20% 

Deadpool 2 is 35% but that's to be expected as IW has been out longer so it's week to week drops are going to be better. 

For example, IW Monday-Monday drop at the same point in time was 41.5% 

But since IW didn't have summer weekdays yet I don't know if that's a good comp.

Ive been using SMH as a comp for DP2 and that had a 46.5% Monday-Monday drop at the same point in time. 

Suicide Squad is also another film I've been using to see how DP2 is doing and that dropped 50% for its Monday-Monday drop at the same point in time. But that was at the end of August with colleges being back which may have contributed to the bigger drop. 

Another CBM comp although I don't think is exactly great since it's overall numbers are way higher at the same point in time (and it's legs were insane) is Wonder Woman and the same Monday-Monday drop was 36%. 

 

Given all of this 35% 4th Monday-Monday drop is actually great for DP2.

After its MDW crumble it's held pretty strong (much stronger than I thought it would ) but for me the biggest question mark in terms of its legs (even before it opened) was always the back to back Weekend of Incredibles 2 and JW. 

 

We shall see if it can survive the carnage 

 

For IW, I'm expecting another fantastic weekend drop especially given how MCU movies perform on this weekend
