True Friday about a million higher than Pete’s Dragon in the end, kind of disappointing after prerelease expectations. They couldn’t seem to carry the momentum from the first trailer.

Our long, national nightmare is almost over, perhaps on Saturday but definitely by Sunday. Drive-in grosses tend to drop on Saturday from Friday  so if that is what is boosting BP this week, it might drop on Saturday. Still, it will easily make more than an additional $15K by Monday.

The Winnie the Pooh franchise will always be more of a merchandise monster than a box office one probably. Disney will likely keep cranking out a movie based around the characters every now and then because of that.
