Our City: Growth

 

Short: Death of A Strawberry 

A cute but rather needless short, that might not send the best message. Bubbles was better.

 

Movie: 

There’s a lot of animated sequels we have great ones that top the predecessor like Shrek 2, Toy Story 2 and 3, and Kung Fu Panda 2, good one’s but fail to capture the magic (any Pixar sequel/prequel not Toy Story or Incredibles), and bad ones like Cars 2. The second one fits Our City: Growth, the characters are still likeable although the new additions don’t leave to much of an impression, the animation and the moral (which despite the frequency works) is nice. The movie is good but it fails to capture the same magic as the first.

Typical generic crappy horror film.

The Female Man:

Ava DuVernay somewhat redeems her self after the irredeemable Redeeming Love. The concept is interesting, and the cast make this a solid film but it could’ve been so much more.

Stories From Eden

Apart from awkward casting and ending, this is a decent film.

So I take it there are at least three movies this year that are absolute WTF trainwrecks (Johnny Test, Rosemary, Jonny Jonny) and good candidates for the all-time worst list.

@Xillix in all honesty, it was the ending that ruined the film, I would’ve gave it the range I give to shitty horror films: 2.0-3.5, probably towards the former due to not to much to be scared about, but man, that ending pissed me off.

Judging by MC so far, Test is a shoein, with Ethan’s reviews, it’s at 10. Rosemary would be at about 22.

After I get done with a math exam in the afternoon, I’m diving into Pillars and mystery.

 

But here’s a clue for the next film so guess on:

This actress was in a Lord/Miller flop Dazzled last year, and has a movie this year. Guess who and which movie.

 

 

 

 

The twist is this, the person who gets it right will have their score multiplied by a number depending on their rank and points (ie @cookie would go up to 13, whereas someone like @Rorschach with 1 point goes up to 13).
