Rudolf
328.5 million now. It's slowing down. Can it finish with 350 million? If South Korea can generate $10m, Japan can provide $30m.Someone said it might be huge in LatinAmerica. China? Who knows?Scandinavian markets are still untapped. IndustriousAngel
Latin America should be good, especially as it's rather about social than racial prejudices.

CJohn
I don't understand why isn't this being released in the UK and Australia.
pinocchio
Because the Weinsteins have bought the rights to do a remake. If the original makes good numbers in the USA it will be released in the UK and Australia I guess, because a remake wouldn't make any sense anymore. Rudolf
I don't understand why isn't this being released in the UK and Australia.A UK release is planed, but without a known date probably subbed. Nothing is known about Australia. Edited April 25, 2012 by Rudolf
Rudolf
Franzuskij superchit 1+1 is predicted to make only $270,000 opening in Russia. That is less than it is currently making in North America although they only have one 5th of the screens for it there.

Rudolf
WTF 270 000 $ ?Damned !They have some holidays coming, so there is hope, but for 200 screens not a good prediction.
juni78ukr
Thursday or Friday I will probably have some additional info. Like final screens count and number of shows in major theater chains compared to other wide releases. Piracy was definitely a major issue but it also created terrific world of mouth. So you can't blame everything on that. The movie was picked by a local independent distributor and they definitely failed. They had less than two months before the release and totally wasted most of that so precious time. It happens too often here with relatively small releases. You can't afford massive advertising on prime TV-channels but without it our distributors have no clue what to do most of the time. Still the movie don't even started yet. It might be not that bad and holidays right ahead will help a bit everyone.
