MARY POPPINS: THE FINAL CHAPTER, set during the 2008 recession. The grandkids lose their retirements, the great-grandkids are saddled lousy student loans, and Mary Poppins just says “fuck it” goes off to sing and dance with LMM’s grandson (played by LMM). Then she leads the great revolution and the streets are awash with blood and justice.

Wouldn’t the next one be Mary Poppins Forever?

I doubt it'll be CG animated. If it is, and looks like an illumination/Pixar joint and not TTGTTM, then your prediction might hold more water

I’m pretty sure it is.

   Sure, why would a reported $50m loss on the first one deter WB.

Guy Ritchie's gonna need something to do after they canceled the five other King Arthur movies, unless Disney really wants to remake The Return of Jafar or something.

I think he is going back to his roots with a British crime drama/comedy.

He can do both, they don't spend the whole year shooting a TV season.

Or he can just do the one he's interested in? At least with the Witcher series he doesn't have to worry about where his next paycheck is coming from unlike with WB who don't know when they will ever do another Superman movie.

Nobody thought an Aquaman movie would get anywhere near $1 billion and yet here we are; it is difficult to predict the future without sounding foolish in retrospect.

Whose predicting the future though? With actors your future is unsure, so they need to invest their time into something that is more of a sure thing rather than a maybe it will happen or maybe it won't. Right now Witcher is more certain than a Superman film from WB and that's where his focus is.
