SpiderByte
it's not like Disney is some kind of creativity vampire forcing Pixar to make these sequels. Well, Planes maybe, but Pixar isn't even making those. Plus, Incredibles 2 makes all the other stupid sequels/prequels totally worth it. RichWS
ErikDavis @ErikDavis 29m So I guess you have to wonder if Pixar will use any Marvel characters in THE INCREDIBLES 2. Gotta believe they will, right? James Rocchi @jamesrocchi 21m .@ErikDavis I feel like you're describing some fan's Tumblr more than you're describing a movie I would want to see. Haha

Still Disney must have a firm grasp on the studio, since they've been pumping out a lot of sequels lately. Fancyarcher
When do you guys think Pixar will announce Toy Story 4? (we all know it's coming) In one year or less. The idea is horrifying to say the least. Edited March 18, 2014 by Fancyarcher
BadAtGender
I hate that now Disney has Pixar working on sequels while they save the original, critically acclaimed projects for themselves. It's too sad. The two studios are pretty creatively separate. It's not like there's a cache of ideas and they get to take turns picking from them. It's just that the people working at each come up with the ideas. WDAS has never shown any strong inclination to do sequels, though. Still Disney must have a firm grasp on the studio, since they've been pumping out a lot of sequels lately. Pixar has two original films out next year, followed by a known sequel. Other than that, it's up in the air. Besides that, the people in charge of Pixar are the people from Pixar. I find it very hard to believe that Pixar would do another Cars sequel if John Lasseter, Ed Catmull, and the braintrust didn't think it would be a good idea. If Pixar didn't want to do the film, you'd probably see it end up at DisneyToons, like the Planes films.

RyneOh1040
Kind of crazy that over three years before its theatrical release, Cars 3 is already certified rotten on Rotten Maters.(shoot me).

CaptainJackSparrow
Funny comments on Comingsoon.net:Wow, its like Disney gave me a million dollars and then kicked me in the balls hard. Good and Bad news all around!Without Paul Newman there is no really gravitas in that franchise at all.Let's dig him up and get started then.

MovieMan89
I think all the Pixar movies will end up with a sequel except Wall-E and maybe Brave. And I'm including Monsters Inc in that statement. Edited March 18, 2014 by MovieMan89
whoot
I've been waiting for Incredibles 2 forever... But something about it coming out this way doesn't make me feel great about it (i.e. Pixar on a free fall creatively, sequels being the norm there at this point... Bah).If Brad Bird isn't involved with Incredibles 2 I am done with this studio.

I really dislike the main character from Brave. What a whiny brat. It would be funny if they do a Brave 2 and it flops big time.
