Why the hell would WB abandon the WWU for a decade?

Not on HBO MAX probably, but that's just admitting defeat.

No new movie in this franchise will happen for years and years. It will take years to even start developing something.

And there is no way Harry Potter sequel happens with Rowling's current relationship with the main trio. Everything else is very risky.

Reviews are horrible but I didn't expect good reviews from critics with Rowling's current reputation.

Also, can you not do this? If you actually read the reviews, Rowling's reputation is far from the movie's biggest problem to a lot of these critics.

They'll regroup, put out something new Potter-related, probably with the old cast returning,

Rowling didn't even want to appear with them on reunion special . There is no way she agrees to make movies that will earn them millions.

Well obviously they won't say it openly.

The whole atmosphere around this movie was so toxic thanks to her, Ezra, Depp and backlash to CoD that good good reviews felt completely impossible.

I think she would have worked with them, but Watson took a dig at her recently with the witches comment. And it seems Rowling's relationship with Warner Brothers is just not what it used to be.

There is no doubt in my mind that WB probably offered her billions to take sole control of the WWU.

'It’s difficult to remain enamored by the Wizarding World when its production is mired in controversy and its creator frequently espouses dangerously myopic views. This inevitably influences perceptions of the work, revealing, at least to this critic, just how obsessed these films are with binaries — good and evil, poor and rich, love and hate, light and dark. '

Original books and movies will continue to be huge, but this story was never made to have spinoffs.

Even without Rowling's horrible relationship with the original main cast sequel to Harry Potter from the storytelling perspective is completely unnecessary and it's hard for me to imagine great story there.

"Somehow Voldemort returned"? Another dark wizard that wants to rule the world and kill Muggles?

Friends was a huge show, Joey was a flop that everyone forgot.

Some stories just aren't made to be expanded. Harry Potter was a deeply personal story told from the perspective of one boy. It's not about the world and universe.

The second they added that dumb "Wizarding World" label to it, it went to shit lol.

Can't say I'm surprised by the reviews, Crimes of Grindelwald was a very tedious, all-over-the-place bit of nonsense and this looks like more of the same. Love the Harry Potter series but skipping this.

I definitely think you would enjoy this more. Confusing and all over the place aren't this film's criticisms.

The Wizarding World is a world that is RIPE for phenomenal stories to be told. There were many in this series alone, but they were burdened and inundated with so many extra superfluous elements.

GET THE WIZARDS AND WITCHES TO THE MODERN WORLD. But have that as a series...the potential is insane.

As I said, let's wait for the audience. Maybe it won't be flop after all.
