filmlover
Blade Runner 2049 7:15 80% full in a 250-seater Trailers Geostorm Thank You for Your Service The Disaster Artist Star Wars: The Last Jedi The Commuter Maze Runner: The Death Cure Pacific Rim: Uprising Ready Player One Movie The original Blade Runner has long been my favorite movie of all time so I was both excited and nervous about this at the same time. I'm pleased to say that this lives up to expectations. Denis Villeneuve has crafted a sequel that very much feels like it takes place in the same cerebral universe despite more than three decades passing and the vast number of technological advancements since. Like Ridley Scott's film, this is sci-fi that doesn't aim to get the adrenaline pumping as much as it gets the brain to do so. The visual effects/production design are just as impressive as in its predecessor and Roger Deakins' cinematography is, always, a beauty to behold. This is definitely Ryan Gosling's movie all the way, and his multi-layered work here reinforces the notion that he's one of the best, most chameleon-like actors working today. The rest of the cast is good too, with Ana de Armas (whose resemblance to Felicity Jones is uncanny), Robin Wright, Sylvia Hoeks, Mackenzie Davis, and Dave Bautista all adding something despite varying screentime. Heck, even Jared Leto mostly works, and that's saying something. And of course there's Harrison Ford, who is excellent and feels present even when he's not onscreen (which is...more often than not). Villeneuve has quickly established himself as one of my favorite directors ever. A No real reaction from the crowd. Curious as to what the CinemaScore grade will be. That One Girl
The Mountain Between Us October 7, 7:25 PM, 55% full Regal Hunt Valley Stadium 12, Hunt Valley, MD Trailers: Black Panther (murmurs) Wonder (laughs) Suburbicon (small laughs, "OOMPF") Thank You for Your Service Ready Player One (murmurs) Red Sparrow Murder on the Orient Express Real weird crowd. Some people laughed throughout the movie at either appropriate or inappropriate moments. Some people were yelling at each other and it was generally a pretty noisy crowd (both teens and middle aged). Lot of people on their phones texting throughout the movie. Everyone was making "OOOOH" noises when Spoiler they made out and had sex . One good moment where everyone gasped in unison. Everyone clapped at the very end too for some odd reason. Edited October 8, 2017 by That One Guy

Lot of murmuring and smaller chatter throughout the movie though 1

Morieris
I have a special double-ish feature for you today; All the trailers of Ninjago with the crowd report of My Little Pony! Ninjago About 50% full, far more people in here than MLP. Guess a lot of "Ew no, I have to adhere by strict stereotypes, MLP is for girls!" happened with some families. Trailers include Daddy's Home (I wish ya'll could have seen the look on my face watching that) Coco (Interested chatter) The Greatest Showman (Chuckles at the bearded lady) Duck Duck Goose (Met with a resounding "Who cares?") I was willing to sit there, but then a group of obnoxious preteens came in and started being damn nuisances, so I decided not to deal with that and go see MLP. My Little Pony 30% full, had the same showtime as Ninjago, 1 45 PM There was a super cute Hanazuki short I caught the last minute or so of. I saw some people I could pick out as Bronies (I don't mean like #NECKBEAAAARDS or anything but adults who were sitting by themselves), but everyone was fairly well behaved. One lady was beside herself at one point. It looked beautiful, though I wish our screen was a little brighter, it seemed pretty dark.
