RthDeadWov
it should do at least 1.2
Heretic
No holiday so I guess that's solid. Weekend should be much bigger. £6m-7m opening still looks likely as Friday-Sunday will be at least £4.5-5m. Not as high as Thor 2, but that opened during the half term holiday. Considering Cap was no Thor first time around, I doubt Disney are unhappy about being a fraction behind.
Heretic
Wouldn't put it past Cap to finish higher than Thor 2, though. Especially with the excellent WOM it's getting. However, there is a lot of competition over the Easter period.
SchumacherFTW
I don't want cap to beat Thor. But that's because the Thor films are my favourites in the MCU
Heretic
I've yet to see Cap 2, but I've only heard amazing things.
keysersoze123
its 100x better than thor 2 which I disliked big time. So no comparison. But thor 2 will beat CA2 in europe for sure. But CA2 should beat it elsewhere so I expect CA2 to finish higher than Thor 2 dom/os/ww.

I personally liked Thor 2 a lot...but CA2 blew it out of the water, succeeding where MOS failed : restoring the true sense of heroism and making CA a glorious hero to root for. Succeeding where IM2 failed : linking perfectly all the previous events to the next showdown . All this while retaining its own tone, its own identity with a perfectly set and greatly layered complex story with lots of easter eggs and ramifications. It is truly a game changer, my number CBM movie as of today and has upped the standard tremendously. I hope Wheddon is reading this and will take the challenge restoring THIS type of CA in TA sequel. Heretic
Thor 2 had a £1.7m Friday. I actually think CA2 will beat it over Fri-Sun.

Heretic
The weather this weekend is really good, everything looks kinda quiet around my area. Probably will halt Cap a bit too. Edited March 29, 2014 by Heretic
RthDeadWov
CAWS fri-sat will be over lc2.9 & cume over 4.8
Heretic
So opening should be £6-6.5m (Around $10.5m). Decent. First opened to $4.9m and finished with a small $14.8m. TWS could double that. Edited March 30, 2014 by Heretic
SchumacherFTW
The effect of opening in DH2's shadow was much more pronounced here over America, even with an extra week between them. Avengers certainly helped here more than IM3 and TDW.
LexJoker
What is expected of Noah? Watson I presume is a huge draw, and Crowe I believe is relatively a bigger draw here compared to US.
LexJoker
Wait, IMDB is showing that both Noah and Rio 2 releasing at 4th. Is that true? There will be a battle then: Cap2 v Noah v Rio2.

Heretic
And Divergent. That could be pretty big too, at least the opening.

Heretic
This'll open higher for sure. But Noah should beat it. Rio 2 had previews this weekend, so that'll be added onto next weekend. Gonna be a busy eater holidays.
