Jonwo
It wouldn't surprise me if TBEMH edges John Carter, PoP also didn't have 3D which makes JC look even worse.
Heretic
Just gonna find any way you can not to give this film credit. A real shame. No not really. There's no way of spinning it. It's opening is awful.

CJohn
Less than £2M for John Carter... Big OUCH....The Raven and Bel Ami tanked. Edited March 12, 2012 by CJohn
SchumacherFTW
Well, I guess I was a bit off on positions and numbers, but that really doesn't bode well for John Carter. The Devil Inside appears to be the big one this weekend, plenty of double screens in some of the bigger cinemas. Contraband and 21 Jump Street seem pretty wide too, 21 Jump Street seems to have less shows than I was expecting, it always appeared to be carrying the most hype, and by far the best reviews too. CJohn
21 Jump Street isn't very appealing OS. In fact, none of those 3 releases are.
The Dark Alfred
The new releases will do fine. The Devil Inside Me £1.721 Jump Street £1.3mContraband £1.
Jonwo
Contraband has had a lot more advertising compared to 21 Jump Street so it may do more, Devil Inside should do well but it'll have no legs as Hunger Games is out the week after. SchumacherFTW
My local Odeon isn't getting 21 Jump Street :'( They must be closed for being shit!!!!
Jonwo
Wonder how Wrath of the Titans will do, the first film did £5.6m OW but that was released Easter weekend, I reckon it'll open lower than Clash. I haven't seen any advertising for it yet but I'm sure it'll be soon.
Heretic
It'll probably drop. Maybe nearer £4m.
Jonwo
I think Pirates! will do very well over Easter, Titanic 3D should do decently, Mirror Mirror has a Monday opening but I don't think it'll do that well. Battleship will be interesting, I reckon a £3m five day opening.
SchumacherFTW
My preffered chain Cineworld, have announced that this year they will allow pre-booking for unlimited card holders, and have abolished booking fees with immediate effect. AND are giving a 10% for all tickets booked online from now as well. Odeon and Vue need to step up their game pretty sharpish. That said, a price war is always good for us, the consumer ;-) Edited March 16, 2012 by Schumacher FTW
Jonwo
I hope 21 Jump Street does well, the reviews have been very good, think The Devil Inside will be number 1 but it'll collapse next week with The Hunger Games. They're releasing promoting The Pirates! with David Tennant on The One Show, Hugh Grant on Graham Norton. I think it'll open bigger than Arthur Christmas but I'm unsure whether it'll overtake Wrath of the Titans although I imagine it'll make more money on Easter weekdays. SchumacherFTW
The Pirates! Get's a 2 day headstart on Wrath, so it should be a close one. Mirror Mirror has number one in the bag in OW, thanks to the good ol' 4 days worth of previews strategy.
