Heretic
With the weather looking more like November right now, everything is going to have a VERY strong Saturday. Barbie and Oppenheimer looking crazy busy all throughout the day and night. The bad weather looks to be sticking around for the foreseeable so cinemas are going to benefit massively. Still on 8 times a day here. All schools in the UK off now though, so I’m sure it’ll do well as a Barbie alternative during the week as well. £6.35m for Barbie is insane. An event! Top 3 makes sense, all of them sold out constantly, the BFI IMAX has managed to successfully sell every single seat on opening weekend despite playing around the clock and only has a single seat left at 8am Monday now. Jonwo
Glasgow I assume is Renfrew Street and not the other one. The cinemas for Barbie are all 18+ screens so no surprise it did well there, Oppenheimer are all IMAX bar the one in Glasgow. Surprised the Science Museum wasn't there. Not surprising Shepherds Bush was top as it had about 55 showings. Also, Manchester Printworks has been absolutely insane in terms of sell outs this weekend for both Barbie and Oppenheimer so makes sense it was in top 5 for the latter. Interesting it wasn’t top 5 for Barbie Edited July 22, 2023 by Heretic

But Barbie is no way getting to £90m unless something spectacular happens. Even £70m is a big ask. 1

wildphantom
£60 million would be insane as it is for Barbie. as for Oppenheimer - just an unbelievable Friday number.
