UKBoxOffice
That could be fairly accurate. Barbie maybe a bit lower and Oppy a bit higher. Oppenheimer has definitely had a bigger % increase on Friday 1
Jonwo
It's insane that a lot of the boutique and indie cinemas have done more business from Barbenheimer in one week than they did with Top Gun Maverick in its entire run.
The Dark Alfred
It's not that surprising. TGM was a popcorn blockbuster that most people wanted to see in multiplexes. Some boutique chains didn't even pick it up until the stunning WoM started to spread. BARBIE has a more universal appeal and brought OP to the party as a plus one lol Edited July 30, 2023 by The Dark Alfred
Issac Newton
Atleast UK Admission are reported. Oceania (Australia &New Zealand) &North America are the only region, I guess where Admission never get reported at all

The other big release of the weekend (and the second-half of the viral fanmade double billing dubbed ‘Barbenheimer’) is Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which made €1,134,635 domestically.

Runtime could be making it bigger weekend play. If Barbie follows it, well then 15M 2nd weekend Oppy seems like will be 7.75-8 and Barbie 12.75 ish. If they follow Dunkirk will lead to 55M and 94M final. 🫣 Probably 50M+ and 85-90M be target for Barbie.

Both films looking at around 30% drops from last weekend which is insane after their monster weekdays. The latter could be less than 30% if Sunday is very strong. solaris
Pretty unbelievable for both. Their performance here might be the most impressive in any major market. Barbie could well make a run for the top 10 all time, and Oppy for top 30 of all time (if it keeps pace with Dunkirk)
Jonwo
Barbie being WB's biggest film ever in the UK is looking like a possibility. That list is mostly Harry Potter and Batman. Does anyone if Sony has shifted Gran Turismo like it has in the US? The fact there's been no marketing in terms of posters does make think they've delayed. WB has already put posters for Blue Beetle.
