kayumanggi
How much did the first SH make in the UK?
SchumacherFTW
The Iron Lady should do well but I think War Horse will steal its thunder. There's also other Oscar bait films out in January like J Edgar, The Artist, The Descendants. I think you're wrong on the Iron Lady. Past the midlands it won't gross anything, seeing as anti maggie sentiment is and always will be running high. I don't see J Edgar doing a great deal here either. I'm interested to see how Michelle Yeoh's The Lady does next week, will people confuse it with The Iron Lady?
fmpro
How much did the first SH make in the UK?Around 40 mill
fmpro
January is pretty much a dead zone in terms of similar films to MI and SH2 so I think SH wil do £20m total, MI £16-17m. The Iron Lady should do well but I think War Horse will steal its thunder. There's also other Oscar bait films out in January like J Edgar, The Artist, The Descendants.20 mill £ is like 33-34 mill right?

Jonwo
Forgot it was me! I think all three should have good legs through January and I predict £10m total for TGWTDT, £20m for Sherlock Holmes and £16-17m for Mission Impossible.Looking at the year ahead, I can see the biggest films being The Hobbit, TDKR, The Avengers, Men in Black 3, The Amazing Spider-Man and Breaking Dawn Part 2. I think The Muppets will do very well given it's plum February slot plus no similar competition apart from Journey 2. The Dark Alfred
Great for MI4. IMAX carries on selling out. Goon looks hilarious, I just gotta find a place, where they're showing it. Heretic
Great for MI4. £20m+ is in play. Most things did pretty well actually. SH2 has rebounded.
Jonwo
MIGP has nothing going into IMAX for a while bar the odd documentary so it could easily stay there until at least March when John Carter is released so £20m is a real possibilty, think depends on how it does this weekend as OW at Christmas is irrelevant due to the bigger weekdays.
