JCS
but when you consider that all the LOTR films are sitting in the all time top 3, TH could have done better. They are all in the Top 10, not Top 3. Over £50M is great for The Hobbit.
Heretic
Les Mis has nearly sold out Leicester Square's 1,700 seater for its Friday evening show already. That's quite an impressive feat a week out. Come Friday, Saturday's shows will probably be nearly full up too. Not many films manage to sell out that auditorium. Last movie to do it was Skyfall. Also, The Hobbit is definitely a Saturday movie. Looks really busy this afternoon. Heretic
Is the week-to-week drop gonna be better on Sat than yesterday?I imagine so yeah. Probably sub 40%.
JCS
Also, The Hobbit is definitely a Saturday movie. Looks really busy this afternoon.Due to the long runtime and family appeal, it is more of a Saturday + weekend film indeed.
Heretic
I just can't believe Skyfall. It sells out the 2 shows it still has at my cinema every single day.
druv10
Heretic, where do you see LOP finishing? I think 25M Pounds are looking good with an outside shot at 30M.

I think a £26-27m finish, which is $41-43m. Double what was expected. Edited January 5, 2013 by Heretic

JCS
LoP could pick up again with Oscar nominations and other awards, £30M+ is still on to be honest.

Heretic
Fantastic drops for everything. Pi is having an amazing run, hopefully it continues.
JCS
Pi with £1.34M Saturday, should get to £18M by end of weekend! Latest from Life Of Pi's extraordinary UK run: another £1.34m yesterday, for cume of £16.9m after 17 days (or 16: cinemas shut xmas day)
Fake
25m seems certain at this point for LOP.
Heretic
With that Saturday The Hobbit is now likely over $70m. Will probably end in the mid 80s.
Jonwo
I wonder if The Impossible will technically be number 1 or number 2 as they include the Tuesday-Thursday numbers with the weekend numbers rather than separate them. Same applies for Quartet.
SchumacherFTW
You mean whether they'll claim 1 or 2 instead of technically 3rd Jonwo?
Jonwo
You mean whether they'll claim 1 or 2 instead of technically 3rd Jonwo?Yeah, that was I mean but TBH the number 1 is really for bragging rights so they advertise it as the UK's number 1 film. I remember Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was number 1 because it opened on a Wednesday but was number 5 Friday-Sunday and the weekend was won by MIB3. JCS
Well previews are always counted in the OW, so Impossible could be #1 indeed.
Heretic
EWEWEWEWEW. School tomorrow. I'm still trying to figure out how the fuck I'm going to wake up. I'd probably have to go to sleep like now.
