I've reached the point when reviews and fan reactions and everything just mean nothing for me. Am I the only one? For me it happened maybe 5-6 years ago. The first is... Fine. 6-7/10. Mainly because of third act. This one if they kinda troll or show 'hate' towards certain fans of the first one... That can really hurt it, I guess.

The first one get out of Venice with exceptional scores both in MC and RT. It did amazing in all festival grids, it won the golden lion. 

 

The only place where the reviews are mixed was in US, and only closed to release. The ones out of the festival was very positive.
 

This time is awful pretty much everywhere , we need to drop this revisionism of how things turn for Joker 1 in Venice.

The reviews are horrible and not in the “violent edgy dangerous” tone of the US discourse of the first movie. 
 

People are calling it dull this time. The movie seems to reject the first one and it’s fans. 
 

I’m highly curious to watch ir, but this isn’t good news for audience reception that did love the first movie.

well let's say for being a movie generic audience loved and loves that much a 59 a metacritic it's not like movie of the year for critics. Wasn't totally panned too.

They didn't, Top Critics score is rotten, overall score is saved mostly by foreign press and influencers.

might be misremembering, but i think the first joker got out of venice with a 71 on mc or something like that and only began dropping till it became yellow when the Americans got here

 

this could still drop; not surprised by the lower score considering how much weaker these one's trailers were
